I find it impossible to write consistently on this blog.
Mostly because there are about 1,000 other things that I should, could or need to be doing that are way, way, way more important.
Who has time for this?
Suddenly, Twitter starts to make sense......about all I have time to type out is one sentence of 140 characters before there is an interruption, distraction or disaster that occurs.
[Consequences of being a father, a husband and a ceo]
Pasadena is in the process of removing over a dozen, large, very green and shady Ficus trees. It has something to do with the City (and the Playhouse District business owners) not wanting to share responsibility of maintenance and liability. I'm not sure of the entire story. I do know that I'm not a tree-hugging fanatic - and that I quietly blew off the emails I'd seen around the city on this topic. But pictures of these huge tress being destroyed (at 2am!!!) looks horrible! It looks traumatic! It is very sad. Brutal. (Photos courtesy of Branislav Kecman)

failure to act, and act now, will turn crisis into a catastrophe and guarantee a
longer recession," Obama warned Wednesday at the White House." (source)
I thought we were putting aside childish things and the politics of fear?
I thought we all despised Bush because of his fear-mongering?
I feel strongly that we should hold any President to the same level of ridicule and standards that we've held prior Presidents (read: Bush, Clinton). So we all hated Bush because he used "fear" as a tactic and he was "obsessive" about working out. Yet, Obama can use the same words, this time about the economy, and instead of questioning his workout schedule we take his pictures and admire his health.
Oh, and he is a smoker. Isn't that supposed to be bad?
